I got to talk about Sociall Ball at EASP2023 in Kraków

Last month I got to talk about some of my work at the 19th General Meeting of the European Association of Social Psychology in Kraków, Poland.

One of the projects that I talked about was Social Ball. A web-based app that can be used to induce feelings of social exclusion or inclusion. It is a more visually and socially engaging version of Cyberball that we work on with some of my colleagues back at Tilburg University.

There is already a preprint available for this project. But what I enjoyed about presenting it as a poster was that I had the chance to talk to people who actually found the software interesting and wanted to use it in their research.

As of date, we are finalizing some details about hosting the game. Once that’s done, we will be able to share instructions for people who want to host the game on a private server (or the servers of their institutions). This way people will be able to use the game fully and will get to handle the data that is generated by the game without having to go through us.

Here’s a pdf of the poster for people who want a quick look into some of Social Ball’s features. Looking forward to sharing more updates about the game.
